Steve Jackson promoted to lead new dedicated quality department for the Ontario County, NY manufacturer of precision motion products
New Scale Technologies has promoted Steve Jackson to Quality Manager, responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of quality management systems (QMS) at the company’s design and manufacturing facility near Rochester, NY.
In his new role, Steve is leading the effort to obtain ISO 9001:2015 quality certification for the company, along with ISO 13485:2016 certification for medical devices and ISO 17025:2017 certification for testing and calibration laboratories.
New Scale creates miniature motion systems that are embedded in medical instruments, smart phone cameras, extended reality devices, neural recording measurements, and automated metrology tools. Theses micro mechatronic systems integrate precision mechanisms, microelectronics, and software.

Steve joined New Scale in 2020, bringing more than six years of experience in embedded and functional software development for utilities monitoring and security/tracking applications. He was most recently with Enentics, where he supported internal quality audits and served as backup representative for Quality Assurance Notification / Quality Assurance Regulation (QAN/QAR) process audits from the certifying body. He has prior experience as a software engineer with Reltronics and a BS in Physics from St. John Fisher College.
