Victor, NY - January 4, 2010 – For the second
consecutive year, New Scale Technologies, Inc. was named one of the
Best Companies to Work for in New York by the New York State Society
for Human Resource Management and the Best Companies Group.
New Scale is one of the top 25 small- to mid-sized companies
(15-249 employees) to earn this honor in 2010, based on the results
of an independent employee survey and an assessment of the company's
employee policies and procedures. Actual rankings will be announced
April 21, 2010. New Scale placed #17 on the list in 2009.

New Scale Technologies was founded in 2002 to capture emerging
opportunities for new micro motion systems in smaller consumer
products, automated biomedical instruments, and nanotechnology

New Scale has prototype and low- to mid-volume production
capacity at its 15,000 square foot technology center in Victor, NY,
including a micro-precision semi-automated manufacturing line for
SQUIGGLE motors. Licensed manufacturing partners including ALPS and
Tamron enable high-volume production of New Scale products
worldwide.

The New York State Society for Human Resource Management and Best
Companies Group, an independent company managing Best Places to Work
programs on state, regional and national stages around the country,
formed a partnership to launch the “Best Companies to Work for in
New York” awards program in 2007. This statewide survey and awards
program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best
places of employment in New York, benefiting the state’s economy,
its workforce and businesses. The Best Companies to Work for in New
York list is made up of 40 companies split into two groups: 25
small/medium-sized companies (15-249 employees) and 15 large-sized
companies (250 or more employees).
Companies are evaluated on their workplace policies, practices,
philosophy, systems and demographics (for approximately 25% of the
total evaluation), and on and the results of an employee survey to
measure the employee experience (for approximately 75% of the total
evaluation). Best Companies Group evaluates the data collected from
the participating companies to determine the final rankings.
