Technologies’ patented piezoelectric SQUIGGLE motor was selected as
one of the most outstanding products of the year by the readers and
editors of Elektronik, Germany’s leading electronics design
magazine. The SQUIGGLE motor took second prize in the automation
category at Elektronik’s tenth annual Product of the Year awards
ceremony March 13 in Munich.
From the hundreds of new products that appeared in the magazine over
the past year, Elektronik editors selected 11 finalists in each of
ten award categories. From these, the magazine’s audience of
engineers and product designers chose the most interesting,
innovative and clever new products that will have high impact in
future electronic products and systems.
The ultrasonic SQUIGGLE motor is less than half the size of other
micro motors, and offers high precision and low power use. It has
application in miniature optical systems (such as phone camera
modules), electronic locks, medical devices and more.
