Miniature rotary actuator module has highest torque and power output for its size (read the news release) 

   UTAF motor

(left) This thin rotary actuator module generates high torque and speed in a thin, small package. Inside the module, multiple piezo micro motors generate tangential force on the outside diameter of a rotating shaft, creating torque. Integrated in the module are drive ICs (one per motor), along with an angular position sensor and microprocessor for closed-loop positioning.

The first prototypes in New Scales’ new Ultra-Thin AutoFocus Family (UTAF) actuator family measure less than 1 mm thick. Piezo ceramics from EPCOS integrate multiple actuator functions and independent electrical connections into a single co-fired ceramic component used in the UTAF.
